About narrative and puzzle games on YouTube & Twitch
Narrative and puzzle creators value blind playthroughs and reacting to twists. Their audiences hate spoilers, so these channels often prefer to know as little as possible before they start.
How to pitch creators who played Outer Wilds
- Open with the comparison: “You played Outer Wilds recently; my game is for the same players because…” Name the specific video or stream you watched.
- Pitch the premise and mood, not the plot; never spoil the twist in your email.
- State playtime so they can plan one video or a short series.
- Mention if the game is good for chat participation (puzzles chat can help solve).
- Offer a key with a clear embargo date if reviews or story videos are time-sensitive.
- Keep it short: one-line hook, a 30–60s gameplay clip, a Steam link, and a key or key-request link. Follow up once, a week later.
