Privacy policy

PlayedBy (“we”, “us”) is operated by an individual seller based in India. This policy explains what we collect when you use playedby.app (the “Service”) and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign up. We use it to create your account, sign you in, and send product emails about PlayedBy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• What you enter: the games you search for, optional pitch details (your game name, hook, link, name), and creators you save.
• Technical data: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept by our host for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment data: payments are handled entirely by Whop, which acts as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. We receive your membership status and plan from Whop so we can unlock features.

Creator data

Creator information shown in the Service (channel names, public stats, recent public videos and streams, links creators list in their public bios) comes only from the official YouTube Data API and Twitch API. We do not scrape websites or collect creators' email addresses. Cached API data is refreshed regularly and deleted or refreshed within 30 days.

PlayedBy uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke any access via Google security settings (PlayedBy does not request access to your Google account).

Who we share it with

• Vercel (hosting and storage).
• ActiveCampaign (our email list provider) receives your email address when you sign up.
• Whop (payments and subscriptions).

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and your rights

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent to marketing emails, at any time, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the GDPR. Contact us through the PlayedBy page on Whop and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date above.
